I was born in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and began exploring Australia and Asia at the age of 20. During my four years there, I lived and worked as a scuba diving instructor. In 1995, my wife and I relocated to Mexico, and we have stayed here ever since. Growing up in the Netherlands, I spent every chance I got fishing for Northern Pike, Sanders, Perch, and Carp. After moving to Cancun, I discovered the amazing fishing opportunities in the Nichupte Lagoon about 20 years ago, and instantly became passionate about it. I specialize in inshore fishing for species like Tarpon, Snook, Permit, and Bonefish, using both fly fishing and light tackle. I absolutely love fishing these shallow waters, especially when I can sight fish. Martin was fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient in locating the fish!
