About Your Guide

Our charter was founded after participating in numerous fishing events aimed at providing underprivileged children with their first chance to experience being out on the water. We also took part in events for fishing enthusiasts who lacked boat access, as well as competitive tournaments held across nine lakes in Central Texas. The driving force behind our mission is the joy of giving people the opportunity to feel the excitement of a catch for the very first time.

Our trip offerings go beyond just a fishing adventure; they are crafted to promote confidence and foster teamwork among participants. Our experienced fishing guides bring their expertise to every excursion, ensuring memories that will last a lifetime. Guests can expect plenty of photo moments perfect for displaying on walls or desks.

One memorable trip involved my son and me, where we reeled in an impressive number of bass. I can’t recommend Richard, our guide, enough, and Derek’s communication skills made the entire experience smooth. We are definitely planning to book another outing with them.

Recently, my son and I enjoyed a guided fishing trip with Derek that exceeded our expectations. Although we initially planned to fish on Lake Austin, Derek suggested switching to Lake Travis based on recent reports, which turned out to be a great decision. His deep knowledge of the lake and patient guidance helped us beginners have a fantastic time. Beyond being an excellent guide, Derek is simply a great person to be around.

Even though the weather was chilly and fish were less active, Derek’s persistence and strategy had us trying multiple spots, resulting in everyone catching something. We even came close to landing a massive 25-pound catfish, which would have been a personal record! Overall, it was an incredible day with a top-notch guide.

Love the thrill of catching big bass but never had the opportunity to participate in an official fishing tournament? Gather some friends for a one-of-a-kind, competitive Bass fishing tournament on the beautiful lakes around Austin, Texas! During this trip, your group will be divided into smaller teams, usually 2-3 anglers per boat, competing to see who can catch the best fish. You get to decide the tournament format—whether competing by fish size, total number caught, top five biggest fish, or any other criteria you prefer. Feel free to bring along your favorite snacks and drinks, and come prepared with some lively trash talk to keep the energy high.

Derek welcomes up to 2 guests on this exciting fishing tournament experience. You’ll fish aboard his 18-foot bass boat, perfectly equipped for Lake Travis adventures. Powered by a 115 Yamaha engine, the boat offers smooth and fast cruising across the lake’s surface.

All essential fishing gear will be provided, including rods, reels, artificial lures, and light tackle. However, you are more than welcome to bring your own equipment if you prefer. Be sure to pack your favorite refreshments and don’t forget to bring your Texas fishing license. Get ready for an unforgettable day of bass fishing competition!
