About Your Guide

Boasting over five decades of expertise in fishing and boating, Captain Al began his journey with a single charter vessel. This is a brand-new 25-foot Sea Hunt BR 25 BX bay boat, equipped with a 300 Yamaha engine, specially crafted for the challenging inshore and nearshore fishing conditions found in Southwest Florida. The boat is designed to be adaptable, secure, comfortable, and dependable, ensuring you have an exceptional outing on the water.

Captain Al is a military veteran originally from Ohio. Raised with a passion for fishing and boating, he now calls Cape Coral, Florida his home. He holds a USCG approval and is a fully licensed and insured fishing guide, specializing in inshore and nearshore species. With an impressive background spanning over 50 years in both freshwater and saltwater environments, Captain Al possesses the know-how to help you locate fish and teach you effective fishing techniques.

Welcoming families and anglers of all ages and skill levels, Captain Al creates a friendly and inclusive atmosphere. Upon request, he is happy to document your fishing adventure with photos, providing lasting memories. Even if fishing isn’t your main interest, Captain Al’s extensive knowledge of Southwest Florida’s waterways means he can offer scenic boat trips, taking you to hidden beaches and sandbars perfect for shell collecting and sunbathing. Along the way, you might spot dolphins, manatees, eagles, ospreys, shorebirds, and other local wildlife. A day spent cruising the waters of Southwest Florida is bound to be enjoyable.

Captain Al offers flexible departure locations to suit your convenience. One memorable trip occurred on one of the coldest days of January, yet Captain Al expertly navigated to sheltered areas with excellent catches. All three of us caught a variety of fish including redfish, snook, snapper, and sheepshead. His vast experience and skillful navigation make him an ideal guide for any waters. Captain Al’s calm demeanor, humor, patience, and kindness added to the overall experience.

The boat itself is spotless, well-maintained, and provides a comfortable and safe fishing platform, handling rough waters with ease. Captain Al also generously filleted our catch, ensuring we had a perfect meal waiting at home. This was an outstanding fishing expedition, and we definitely plan to book with him again in the future. Many thanks to Captain Al for an amazing day on the water!
