About Your Guide

Captain Al brings over five decades of expertise in fishing and boating, beginning his journey with a single charter vessel. His fleet features the new 25-foot Sea Hunt BR 25 BX bay boat, equipped with a powerful 300 Yamaha engine, engineered specifically for inshore and nearshore fishing in Southwest Florida. This boat offers versatility, safety, comfort, and dependability, ensuring an outstanding adventure on the water.

A proud military veteran originally from Ohio, Captain Al was raised with a strong passion for fishing and boating. Now based in Cape Coral, Florida, he is a licensed, insured, and USCG-approved fishing guide specializing in both inshore and nearshore species. His extensive knowledge gained from over 50 years on freshwater and saltwater makes him the ideal guide to help you find fish and learn effective techniques for catching them.

Captain Al welcomes families and anglers of all skill levels and ages. Upon request, he is happy to document your fishing trip with photos, creating lasting memories of your time on the water. If fishing isn’t your priority, he is also eager to offer scenic tours of Southwest Florida’s waterways. Explore hidden beaches and sandbars perfect for shell collecting and sunbathing, while observing local wildlife such as dolphins, manatees, eagles, ospreys, and numerous shorebirds.

Spending a day on Southwest Florida’s waters with Captain Al is always memorable. On one notably cold January day, Captain Al expertly navigated to sheltered spots that yielded excellent catches. Our group landed a variety of fish including redfish, snook, snapper, and sheepshead. His calm demeanor, patience, and sense of humor made the experience enjoyable, alongside his top-notch equipment and ample bait to keep us engaged.

The boat is immaculate, well-maintained, and provides a stable, safe platform for fishing, handling choppy conditions with ease. Additionally, Captain Al graciously filleted our catch, preparing it perfectly for our dinner at home. This was an exceptional fishing trip, and we look forward to another outing with Captain Al soon. Many thanks to him for an unforgettable day!
