About Your Guide

From an early age, I enjoyed fishing in the Galveston Bay region alongside my father, who sparked my deep love for the sport. That enthusiasm remains strong today, and I take great pleasure in sharing it with others. Helping guests create unforgettable moments on the water is truly rewarding. My fishing ventures are based in the Galveston Bay area, targeting spots around the bay and nearby rock jetties.

The boat I use is a 24-foot Robalo center console equipped with a powerful 300 HP Yamaha engine. The local fish species we commonly go after include Red Drum, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Black Drum, and Sheepshead. We employ both live bait and cut bait, fishing techniques such as popping corks and bottom fishing to maximize success. A key part of our approach involves interpreting water conditions and tide patterns to locate the fish effectively.

Our mission is to ensure every guest enjoys an exceptional and memorable fishing experience. One guest shared, "Captain Izzy was fantastic. We were eager to catch speckled trout, and he guided us right to them. He offered helpful advice to my son, making it a trip I would recommend to anyone interested in not just catching, but truly learning about fishing."

Another visitor remarked, "The experience with Captain Izzy exceeded all expectations. Friendly, knowledgeable, and professional, he made sure we caught plenty of fish. I look forward to booking another trip next time I'm in the Galveston area."

Many appreciate not only the quality of the trip but also the care taken with the boat and equipment: "Everything was pristine, and the gear provided was top-tier. The trip was fantastic, and I only have high praise for Captain Izzy. I can’t wait for my next outing."

Reflecting on the experience, a guest mentioned, "Thank you, Captain Izzy, for a wonderful morning. It was great sharing stories and creating lasting memories on the boat. I’m already looking forward to the next time."

For returning clients, the experience remains consistently outstanding: "This was my third time with Captain Izzy, and it never disappoints. He makes every effort to ensure clients have a memorable day on the water. I highly recommend him for a fun and rewarding fishing excursion. Aside from being an excellent captain, he is genuinely sincere about delivering the best experience."

Families especially enjoy the outings: "We had a tremendous time with Captain Izzy. While fishing, we even spotted dolphins nearby. The boat was spotless, the captain attentive, and the conversations engaging. We highly recommend his services for anyone looking to enjoy a fantastic day on the water."

One family shared, "Captain Izzy provided an amazing adventure for me and my two sons. The service was outstanding, and we loved every minute of it. Hopefully, this trip will remain a cherished memory for the boys."

For those new to fishing alone, the experience has also been exceptional: "My first solo fishing trip on the boat with Captain Izzy was a great success—solid catches and great company. If you want a captain who truly understands the waters and fish behavior, I strongly recommend him for an unforgettable fishing adventure."

Every trip is treated as a special opportunity to connect, teach, and share the joy of fishing. Thank you for considering a trip with Captain Izzy—we look forward to helping you make your next fishing outing truly memorable.

Start your day with Captain Isidro on a 4-hour inshore fishing excursion, exploring the prime spots of Galveston Bay and jetty fishing. Departing from Galveston Yacht Marina aboard a 24’ Robalo 246 Cayman center console, this trip is ideal for anglers eager to experience diverse light tackle fishing close to shore.

Your targets will include classic Gulf Coast species such as Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Black Drum, and Sheepshead. Using a mix of live and cut bait, you’ll fish by drifting near structures, bottom fishing, or working a cork rig along the rocks. Captain Isidro’s expertise ensures you’ll have plenty of action. Live bait is provided, with dead bait available upon request (note that premium live bait may incur additional market costs).

The Robalo offers a smooth and stable ride optimized for shallow waters while providing the spacious comfort of a larger boat. Equipped with an onboard restroom, it’s perfect for small groups of up to three anglers seeking a comfortable, versatile, and highly fishable experience.

All fishing gear—including rods, reels, and tackle—is supplied, and Captain Isidro will clean your catch when you return to the dock, so you can enjoy fresh fish right away. Children are welcome onboard, and there’s ample space for your favorite drinks and snacks (please avoid glass containers).
