Ready to elevate your fishing adventure in the Outer Banks? Join Captain Aaron in Nags Head, NC, for either a 3/4-day or full-day fishing experience filled with excitement, diverse targets, and memorable time on the water. These trips offer plenty of time to explore different fishing spots, ideal for anglers eager to chase the variety of species that thrive in these waters.
On the 6-hour 3/4-day trip, you’ll fish both inshore and nearshore waters, allowing flexibility to pursue the most active species. This trip focuses on catching a range of spirited, delicious fish such as Trout and Redfish (Drum). Weather permitting, the trip ventures a bit farther offshore in search of Mahi Mahi and Cobia. With light tackle and Captain Aaron’s extensive knowledge of the Currituck, Pamlico Sound, and surrounding areas, you’ll have ample chances to land a diverse catch and enjoy switching techniques as conditions change throughout the day.
For anglers seeking the full Outer Banks fishing experience, the full-day trip offers an all-day, sight-casting expedition primarily targeting Redfish and Cobia. One of the highlights is climbing into the flybridge tower with the kids to spot cruising fish just below the surface. When you find them, the action begins—whether you’re tossing live bait to a large Cobia or casting specialized Cobiakiller jigs to trophy Redfish, the day delivers continuous fishing opportunities. Captain Aaron also includes trolling spoons to cover more water and attract species like Spanish Mackerel, smaller Mahi Mahi, and even King Mackerel. If you reach your limit early, there’s the option to head into shallower flats to target smaller Reds and Trout to finish off the day.
Both trips take place aboard Captain Aaron’s custom 30’ Carolina performance boat, a beautifully restored 1990 Alex Willis hull powered by a 350 HP Yamaha engine. This fast, shallow-draft vessel is perfect for navigating everything from narrow flats to nearshore runs. It features GPS, a fishfinder, live bait well, icebox for your catch, and a flybridge ideal for sight-fishing or admiring the views of the Outer Banks.
Captain Aaron provides all gear needed, including rods, reels, tackle, bait, ice, fishing licenses, and assistance with cleaning and filleting your catch after the trip. You’ll only need to bring your preferred snacks, beverages, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and a cooler to take your fish home. For colder months, make sure to dress warmly.
Whether you choose the 3/4-day or the full-day option, expect a fun, flexible trip centered on hooking fish and creating lasting memories. Captain Aaron is dedicated to ensuring everyone has a rewarding experience, so bring your family, friends, and get ready for an Outer Banks fishing outing you’ll always remember.
