With over three decades of experience fishing the freshwater lakes and canals of South Florida, Captain Matt has honed his expertise and passion for angling. As a dedicated fisherman and enthusiastic instructor, he loves introducing others to the excitement of fishing—whether you are a beginner or aiming to sharpen your skills. Prior to becoming a guide, Matt gained valuable insight working at a local tackle shop, earning a solid reputation as a trusted source for fishing gear and advice. Now, he delivers the same friendly and hands-on service during every excursion.
Fishing trips take place aboard his 18-foot Carolina Skiff, a fast and comfortable boat ideal for small groups. While Captain Matt specializes in live bait techniques, he is well-versed in many methods and customizes each outing based on water conditions and your personal goals. If you want to experience the best of South Florida’s fishing scene, Captain Matt is the perfect guide to lead the way.

We hauled in a wide variety including peacock bass, clown knives, striped bass, largemouth bass, and cichlids. I would recommend Matt to anyone looking for a fun and productive day on the water.
