Captain Troy's passion for fishing began in his childhood, nearly five decades ago, when his parents took him to explore the trout streams of southwestern Pennsylvania. This early experience sparked a lifelong love for the sport. After graduating high school, he relocated to Florida and started fishing around New Smyrna, where he developed a strong enthusiasm for saltwater fishing.
Throughout his career, Captain Troy has fished extensively along the East Coast, from Florida up to Maine, including several great freshwater locations like Lakes Ontario, Erie, and Michigan. He has pursued trophy rockfish in Chesapeake Bay and ventured out of Ocean City, Maryland, targeting massive bluefin tuna in the canyons. His fishing expeditions also include the Outer Banks of North Carolina and the Gulf Stream, home to a variety of exciting game fish. Despite all these fantastic fishing spots, nothing compares to Islamorada, Florida—Captain Troy's current residence and often regarded as the fishing capital of the world.
