With over 45 years of fishing as a pastime, he has ventured through the waters of the Florida Keys, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Nova Scotia. Since 2014, he has focused his fishing efforts seriously in the Wilmington area. Fishing is more than just a pastime for him—it’s a true passion, and he wanted to transform that passion into a rewarding career. Away from the sea, Captain Dave is devoted to his family, which includes a loving wife and four wonderful children. You can cancel your booking up to one day before your scheduled trip and have the amount credited to your account. Cancellations made on the day of the trip or if you do not show up will result in the full trip cost being charged to your payment method.

Embark on an unforgettable nearshore fishing expedition aboard a 23' Regulator with Captain Dave, departing from the Wilmington area. Captain Dave invites up to four guests to enjoy a safe, speedy, and comfortable ride while targeting some of North Carolina’s top game fish.
Prepare to pursue a variety of species including Kingfish, Cudas, Bluefish, Redfish, or venture further offshore when conditions allow for catches like Mahi and Bonito. The southern coast of North Carolina offers abundant nearshore and inshore bottom fishing, as well as exciting trolling opportunities both close to shore and further out at sea. Any fish you catch can be kept, with Captain Dave providing cleaning services at the end of your trip.
All necessary gear, bait, fishing licenses, ice, and water are supplied by Captain Dave. Guests are encouraged to bring their favorite snacks, beverages, sunscreen, and children if desired, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable fishing experience for everyone on board.
