Captain Mike has been navigating the Bass circuits for 15 years and has been engaged in saltwater fishing off the Texas coast since 2015. He earned his USCG Master Mariner certification in March 2021. With a strong passion for fishing and extensive maritime expertise, he has operated vessels ranging from small boats to large yachts for over two decades. Currently, he captains a 45-foot Sea Ray Yacht. Our excursions will take you to the best reefs, rigs, and wrecks, offering an authentic Gulf Coast fishing adventure. You can cancel without any charges up to 3 days prior to your scheduled trip and get a credit applied to your account. If you cancel within 3 days before the trip, your deposit will be retained by the guide. Cancelling on the day of the trip or failing to show up will result in the full trip cost being charged to your payment method.
All necessary gear will be provided. However, we suggest packing sunglasses, sunscreen, suitable clothing for the weather, and any additional items you may want for the trip.

The boat is a 30-foot Key West, comfortably accommodating up to six guests. Powered by twin 250 HP Yamaha engines, it’s outfitted with Garmin GPS and Fishfinder for precise navigation, along with a VHF radio for communication. Onboard amenities include an FM radio, Bluetooth audio system, a live-well for keeping bait or catch fresh, and an icebox.
Target species on your trip include Blackfin Tuna, Jack Crevalle, Mahi Mahi, Blacktip Shark, Red Snapper, and many other sought-after fish. Fishing methods utilized range from bottom fishing and deep sea fishing to trolling, all employing heavy tackle to enhance your chances of landing big catches. Kids are welcome to join the fun, and you’re invited to keep any fish you catch.
Salty Waves provides all the necessary rods, reels, tackle, and lures, as well as bottled water, and live bait when available. Be sure to bring your fishing licenses, snacks, sunscreen, and Dramamine if needed. Coolers are allowed onboard to store your catch or refreshments.
