About Your Guide

Captain Tyler, the founder of this charter service, has been exploring South Florida's fishing grounds since childhood. He will be your direct guide, ensuring you have both an enjoyable and successful outing. Fishing isn’t just a job for Captain Tyler—it’s his passion. Nothing excites him more than being on the water and sharing the thrill of catching fish with others. Watching the joy on guests’ faces when they reel in a big catch reminds him of his own early days, learning from his father at the age of three, sparking a lifelong love for fishing.

One guest shared, “Though we had a slower day with only one significant catch, it was a memorable experience. We had the chance to catch smaller fish while trolling, which kept the fun going.” Another review mentioned, “We landed a Bonita and a large sailfish, and Captain Tyler was great—very friendly and knowledgeable. It was one of our best fishing trips ever, and we’ll definitely book with him again when we return.”

Many highlight Tyler’s deep expertise and enthusiasm, noting how his answers to every question enhanced their experience. His passion truly makes each trip special.

However, not all experiences have been positive. One customer with thirty years supporting Florida captains recounted a disappointing situation where the scheduled trip didn’t take place as planned. They were asked for full payment upfront and found the bait offered to be of poor quality. Communication issues arose, resulting in frustration and a perception of being misled. The company responded by clarifying their prepayment policy is standard to avoid no-shows and explained the bait was purchased specifically for that trip but was ultimately paid for by the company when the customer declined. They expressed a commitment to transparency and resolving any complaints amicably.

There was also a report of a no-show and last-minute rescheduling causing disruption to plans. The guest shared that, despite the reduced catch compared to previous trips elsewhere, the crew’s efforts were commendable, though the captain’s communication and professionalism fell short. The company acknowledged these concerns, apologized, and confirmed they’re addressing the issues internally with the goal of improving future outings.

On a more positive note, another family recounted a fun afternoon trip with Captain Tyler. Although the fish bite was slow, they moved to shallower reefs where they caught over 30 fish in an hour and a half, including some keepers perfect for a tasty meal. Tyler also helped clean the fish and recommended a restaurant nearby to cook their catch, making for a convenient and enjoyable dining experience.

During colder months when fish were less active, Tyler’s efforts did not go unnoticed. One group appreciated his persistence in continuing to fish despite the challenging conditions, even offering a discounted return trip. When some passengers became ill, he ensured they returned to shore safely and then resumed the outing with the rest of the group.

Overall, Captain Tyler is dedicated to making each fishing trip rewarding by combining local knowledge, genuine passion, and a commitment to his guests’ enjoyment.
