Captain Brenden’s friendly rapport with other boat captains helped us find the best fishing spots, and we appreciated that he carefully filleted and packaged our catch at the dock. Overall, it was a wonderful trip, and we would definitely recommend fishing with Captain Brenden.
We had an amazing time and both captains were fantastic and very supportive. Although the weather forced us to cut the trip short, the guide was upfront about the situation, and while we couldn’t get the full experience, we still enjoyed some quality fishing. However, there was some confusion regarding a refund for the shorter trip that we never received. Despite this, the trip was enjoyable, and we caught some fish, even if it wasn’t quite the shark expedition we had hoped for. After traveling 900 miles, we made the most of the opportunity and appreciated the guide’s honesty about possible changes.
Captain Donnie was outstanding, especially for us beginners. He patiently guided us throughout and made the experience enjoyable. We can’t wait to book another trip with him!

I may have missed an opportunity by not heading to the shallows for sharks and reds, but that decision meant we witnessed Jennifer and Regie battling a huge blacktip shark—a win-win for everyone!
When you book a fishing charter, you’re essentially paying for two things: the boat, fuel, and equipment, plus the captain’s knowledge and experience. On our trip, the captain was pleasant but appeared unfamiliar with the specifics of the Galveston fishery and how lunar or tidal patterns affect fishing conditions. The crew also seemed unsure how to rig bait appropriately for different spots and techniques.
To Jeremy: We regret the trip didn’t meet your expectations. Due to weather, your original plan for a 20-30 mile kingfish excursion was changed last minute to a jetty trip. We confirmed this adjustment with you and did our best to provide a good experience under the circumstances. We have contacted you privately regarding a partial refund and would love to welcome you back for the trip you initially booked when conditions improve.

You can cancel your booking without any charges if done at least 15 days prior to your scheduled trip, and the amount will be credited back to your account. If you cancel within 15 days before the trip, your deposit will be retained by the guide. Cancellations made on the day of the trip or failing to show up will result in the full trip amount being charged to your payment method.
We provide all rods, reels, and tackle for your convenience. However, we also suggest you bring sunglasses, sunscreen, suitable clothing for the weather, and any personal gear you wish to use during the trip.
