You can cancel at no cost if you do so at least 14 days prior to your trip and will get a credit added to your account. If you cancel less than 14 days before the trip, your deposit will be retained by the guide. Cancellations on the day of the trip or failure to show up will result in the full trip amount being charged to your payment method.
All necessary gear is provided for your convenience. However, we suggest you bring along sunglasses, sunscreen, and clothing suitable for the weather, as well as any personal items you may want during the trip. Additionally, a Lake Texoma Fishing License, costing $12.00, is required.

Captain Dirk operates his well-equipped 24-foot Blazer Bay, perfect for groups of up to five anglers. The boat is stocked with state-of-the-art gear including GPS, a fish finder, a 45-gallon live bait tank, wireless trolling motor, and downriggers to help track and catch fish efficiently. Live bait is always provided, and with 24 hours’ notice, it will be prepped and waiting at the dock for you. All essential fishing gear—rods, reels, tackle, and lures—is included. At the end of your day, Captain Dirk will thoughtfully clean and package your catch, removing the red meat so it’s ready to enjoy straight from freezer to frying pan.
Planning to bring the kids? Captain Dirk encourages family participation and caters to anglers of all ages, offering kid-sized life vests when needed. Be sure to pack snacks and drinks to keep energy levels high throughout the day on the water. Don’t forget essentials like sunscreen (please avoid spray types), sunglasses, and good rain gear—especially for cooler mornings or changing weather. Dressing in layers is highly recommended for optimal comfort.
Before setting off, ensure every participant in your group has a valid Lake Texoma fishing license, which can be purchased online or with the Captain’s guidance. Keep in mind, some fish species may have seasonal restrictions or require special tags, so checking regulations ahead of time is wise.
