Jason hails from Vermont and has been passionate about fishing and the outdoors since he was able to hold a fishing rod. In 1999, he relocated to Jackson Hole, WY, initially drawn by his love for snowboarding, but soon discovered fly fishing. It wasn’t long before he developed a true passion for it. Over the next five summers, Jason dedicated himself to exploring the local waters, quickly realizing just how extraordinary the area was. It became clear to him that guiding others on the river was his calling.
With years of experience working as a chef and sommelier in upscale restaurants, Jason mastered the art of exceptional customer service. This blend of expertise and enthusiasm for fishing created a seamless transition into a river guide role, delivering top-tier angling experiences. Jason now proudly owns the outfitting company.
The team also includes guides Byron, Tim, Josh, Trevor, and Dave. One customer shared their experience on a full-day float trip on the Snake River, praising Jason's skill and patience. They hooked numerous cutthroat trout, catching fish on dry flies, nymphs, and streamers, with Jason expertly switching flies to maximize bites and calmly assisting whenever there were snags. Additionally, Jason’s lunch served on the water was unforgettable. This memorable outing left a strong impression, with a desire to return for another adventure soon.
