Originally from Vermont, Jason has nurtured a love for fishing and the great outdoors since childhood. After relocating to Jackson Hole, WY in 1999 to chase his snowboarding dreams, he discovered fly fishing and quickly became captivated. Over the course of five summers, he devoted himself to exploring the local waters, gaining a deep appreciation for the unique environment around him. It soon became clear to Jason that guiding was his true calling.
With a background in the culinary world as a chef and sommelier, Jason honed his skills in high-end customer service. This experience seamlessly blended with his enthusiasm for fishing and nature, allowing him to create exceptional angling experiences on the river. Today, he proudly owns and operates the outfitting business.
The guiding team also includes Byron, Tim, Josh, Trevor, and Dave.
We enjoyed an amazing full-day float trip on the Snake River with Jason. The number of cutthroat trout we landed was incredible—so many that we stopped counting, too focused on fishing to take photos. We caught fish using dry flies, nymphs, and streamers. Jason was excellent at changing flies to keep the bites coming and showed great patience when we got snagged along the bank. As a bonus, Jason prepares fantastic lunches out on the water. A genuinely great person, and we’re already looking forward to our next trip!

Long, winding floats define the trip, with each twist revealing diverse fish species and breathtaking scenery—turning every bend into a fresh experience.
Ideal for anglers seeking a deep, full-day retreat (6–10 hours), this trip includes transportation by your guide if needed. The float is tailored to optimize your fishing opportunities while fully enjoying this pristine high-country river.
