This review specifically reflects the guide’s service rather than Ivan as a person. He is a friendly and courteous young man. The boat was comfortable, the weather ideal, and the fishing spot excellent. Despite trolling plugs throughout the evening—a method I’m not especially fond of—we only landed one small walleye measuring about 12 inches. The guide brought along one of his colleagues, but there was little variation in technique to try to improve our catch. Both the guide and his companion were pleasant company throughout the trip.

Somewhat disappointed by the lack of variation in fishing strategies, I do believe that the absence of moonlight may have impacted our success. Perhaps altering techniques might not have made much difference under the circumstances. Unfortunately, we don't have any photos from the trip. Nonetheless, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Ivan is a knowledgeable and helpful guide, and this marks our second excursion with Flatout. I see no reason to book with anyone else in the future. Many thanks!
