Hi, I’m Torre, a lifetime resident and seasoned captain from Big Pine Key. My base of operations is between Big Pine Key and Little Torch Key, where I captain a 26-foot Mako Marine boat that comfortably fits up to 4 guests, with a maximum of 6. My wife, son, and I recently joined a six-hour spearfishing expedition with Captain Torre, which turned out to be the highlight of our Keys vacation. We returned with a cooler full of lobsters, snapper, cero mackerel, and yellow jack, which we later prepared as sashimi, ceviche, lobster macaroni, and beer-battered fish. Along the way, we spotted hammerhead sharks, goliath groupers, and sea turtles. Despite having never tried spearfishing before, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience—it was far more engaging than traditional fishing. Torre proved to be an exceptional guide with expert knowledge of the area and what to look for. This trip is definitely the first thing we'll book on our next visit to the Keys. You can cancel at no cost if done at least 14 days prior to your trip and receive a credit applied to your account. If you cancel within 14 days of the scheduled trip, your deposit will be retained by the guide. Cancellations made on the day of the trip or failure to show up will result in a charge of the full trip amount to your card.
We provide all rods, reels, and tackle, but we suggest bringing along sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and any personal gear you'd like to use during the trip.
