I operate primarily out of Big Pine Key and Little Torch Key aboard my 26-foot Mako Marine, which comfortably fits up to 4 people, with a maximum of 6. My family and I recently joined Torre for a six-hour spearfishing excursion, which became the highlight of our vacation in the Keys. By the end of the day, our cooler was packed with lobster, snapper, cero mackerel, and yellow jack. We turned our catch into delicious sashimi, ceviche, lobster macaroni, and beer-battered fish. Along the way, we spotted hammerhead sharks, goliath groupers, and sea turtles. Though my wife and I were new to spearfishing, Torre’s expertise made the experience fun and exciting—far better than traditional fishing. We can’t wait to return and fish with him again. The main aim is to keep your fishing rods busy and your cooler full. Captain Torre specializes in catching a wide variety of tasty reef and inshore species, including Mangrove Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, Mutton Snapper, Lane Snapper, Black Grouper, and Kingfish. He works hard to ensure you leave with fresh fish for the grill, while making sure everyone onboard gets involved. You might also encounter Cobia and Goliath Grouper, known for their strength and exciting fights.
Fishing techniques include light tackle, spinning gear, bottom fishing, jigging, and occasional trolling, depending on the catch of the day. All gear such as rods, reels, bait (live, cut, and chum), hooks, and lures are provided, so just bring yourself ready to fish. The charter also covers your fishing license, and Captain Torre is available to help with any questions about regulations or what you’re allowed to keep.
The boat is stocked with ice and bottled water. You’re welcome to bring your favorite beverages—alcohol in moderation is fine, but please avoid hard liquor and glass containers. Remember to pack your snacks or lunch, along with essentials like a hat, sunglasses, reef-safe sunscreen (preferably non-spray), and a positive attitude.

Powered by a reliable 250 hp Suzuki engine, this boat offers excellent performance for a day on the water. Equipped with essential amenities like GPS and a fishfinder, anglers can easily navigate and locate prime fishing spots. The live bait well ensures fresh bait is always at hand, enhancing your catch chances. Additional gear includes snorkeling and spearfishing equipment, perfect for underwater exploration. An ice box keeps your catch fresh throughout the trip. Although there’s no restroom onboard, the spacious layout provides comfort and functionality for a memorable fishing adventure.
