Hello, I’m Captain Dexter, operating from West Bay boat ramp, specializing in fishing the waters around Panama City. I have a deep passion for the outdoors, having grown up exploring and fishing the bays and tributaries in this region. My family’s connection to the water spans several generations, and I was introduced to fishing at an early age. Throughout my youth, I dedicated many hours working as a deckhand on commercial fishing vessels, gaining hands-on experience. Later, I owned and operated a 58 ft. by 19 ft. shrimp trawler for more than two decades.
My lifelong relationship with these waters, first as a child playing and then as a professional fisherman, has given me extensive knowledge of the local aquatic environment and its species. Today, with over 60 years of experience, I share this expertise with my clients, ensuring an enjoyable fishing adventure for everyone—from novices to seasoned anglers. I especially love working with kids, patiently guiding them as they learn the craft of fishing.

You can cancel without any charges up to three days prior to your scheduled trip and receive a credit on your account. If you cancel less than three days before the trip, your deposit will be non-refundable and paid to the guide. On the day of the trip, cancellations or failure to show up will result in the full trip cost being charged to your payment method.
All rods, reels, and tackle are provided. However, we suggest bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, clothing suitable for the weather, and any personal gear you’d like to use during the trip.
Welcome aboard! I’m Capt. Dexter, and I’m excited to take you on a memorable fishing adventure starting from the West Bay boat ramp. Our journey begins with a quick ride to my prime fishing spots where we’ll target redfish, speckled trout, or both. We focus on light tackle fishing, delivering an exhilarating experience you won’t forget. Using spinning rods and reels rigged with 10 lb braid and a 20 lb fluorocarbon leader, we fish with a mix of live and artificial baits.
All fishing licenses are included for your convenience. My boat is fully equipped with top-notch gear including a fish finder, LiveScope, Minn Kota Spot Lock trolling motor, and powered by a reliable 60-horse Suzuki engine.
Just bring your personal essentials—sunscreen, sunglasses, weather-appropriate clothing, snacks, and drinks. I’ll provide bottled water kept cool on ice. Don’t forget your camera to capture the highlights of our trip!
