From a young age, Jake was immersed in fishing, learning from multiple family members who inspired and guided his passion. As a child, he frequently cycled over 20 miles each day in search of prime fishing locations until he could drive. At just 16, Jake bought his first boat and funded his fishing adventures by selling bait to local shops. After high school, he spent four years serving as a trusted first mate on several fishing vessels. Once qualified, he attended maritime school to earn his Merchant Mariner Credentials (Captain’s License). Soon after, Jake joined Coastal Chaos as a captain, quickly making a name for himself with great trips and glowing customer reviews. Now, as the Owner and CEO of Coastal Chaos, Jake is living his dream, combining professionalism with genuine enthusiasm and a deep love for fishing. Captain Brett provided an unforgettable fishing experience. We caught many keepers, along with several other fish we released. We also encountered incredible wildlife, including a bull shark, Goliath grouper, loggerhead turtle, and manatee. Watching Brett and my brother work together to reel in a massive catch was truly impressive. Brett’s kindness and guidance made it enjoyable for everyone, including those newer to fishing like myself and my teenage son. His communication was excellent, and we’re eager to fish with him again.

Due to a scheduling change, I didn’t fish with Cameron but had Josh as my guide. Josh did a wonderful job locating some great redfish. Although our original plan was fly fishing, which wasn’t possible due to water conditions, we still had a great day catching fish. I highly recommend Josh for his hard work and friendly approach, making it a great outing for everyone, including the kids.
