By the age of 15, he earned his place as one of the youngest independent mates on a renowned fishing charter in Destin Harbor. At 18, Joey took the next big step by securing his 100 Ton Captain License. After captaining several boats, in 2013 he launched his own charter fishing business. Andy skillfully led us to prime fishing spots and showed incredible patience training those new to the sport. He kept us focused on the same school of fish until we connected! Joey proved to be not only a skilled guide but also a genuinely nice person. The outing was thrilling as we spotted dolphins, sea turtles, and many other marine creatures. Though we were signed up with Captain Joey, Captain Mindy took the helm and provided outstanding care. Her patience with our kids, ages 12 and 13, and her expert guidance made the night truly special, especially since everyone was a beginner at bowfishing. We enjoyed lots of excitement and ended the night with my daughter landing a large ray—the highlight of the trip. We can’t wait to do it again, especially if Mindy’s at the wheel!
Introducing my sons to bay fishing was a blast thanks to Captain Melissa. She was prepared, attentive, and incredibly patient with the kids. We encountered fascinating marine life and spent the evening casting arrows. While big catches were scarce, the overall experience was fantastic. The boat was well-equipped with everything needed for a great trip.

Although we were initially set to sail with Joey, Captain Taylor stepped in last minute. He was knowledgeable, patient, and excellent with children. Despite the cool, cloudy weather, he found us fish and gave us a wonderful family outing. While the catch-and-release format was a bit disappointing, the fun we had more than compensated. Unfortunately, our experience with one captain was unpleasant. He reacted poorly when my son accidentally caused a minor line snag, was terse when answering questions, and often made us feel like a nuisance. The trip felt wasted as no fish were found and the time was spent catching bait for another charter. We advise caution in booking with this guide.

You can cancel your booking without any charges if done at least 10 days before your scheduled trip, and the amount will be credited back to your account. If you cancel within 10 days prior to the trip, your deposit will be retained by the guide. Cancellations made on the day of the trip or failure to show up will result in the full trip cost being charged to your payment method.
