Mike and his deckhand Cooper were outstanding hosts, helping us catch more fish than ever before. A special thanks to Jonathan at Captain Experiences for connecting my family with Captain Mike and Daisy out of Surfside Beach, TX. From the moment we set out, Mike led us to abundant red snapper, including a massive 32-inch, 22-pound catch. We also had the chance to help a few kingfish in distress. Deep-sea fishing with Mike was a wonderful experience, especially with his calm and patient manner toward our kids — even when some equipment got damaged along the way. We sampled different fishing locations and everyone had a chance to fish at their comfort level.

On the other hand, one customer’s experience was disappointing. Captain Mike contacted them just 20 minutes before departure to report light rain and delayed arrival, eventually showing up two hours late. The planned "Up to 50 Miler" trip covered only 24-28 miles, with several hours spent circling and a reduced fishing time. Moreover, issues around payment methods and unclear communication about the deckhand led to frustration. Despite attempts to resolve the concerns, the customer decided not to book with Captain Mike again, feeling the trip was too short and the captain’s rain policy overly cautious.

We appreciate feedback like this and are actively working to improve our guides' understanding of Captain Experience’s QR payment system to ensure a smooth process for everyone. We are also clarifying crew details to prevent misunderstandings. To encourage another try, we’ve offered a discount on the customer’s next trip and invite them to contact us.
