Hello, I’m Captain Blake, based at Lilley's Landing Resort Marina on beautiful Lake Taneycomo in Branson, Missouri. Fishing has been a lifelong passion for me, starting when I was just a toddler. By the time I was five, I knew I wanted to become a professional angler. My journey into guiding was inspired by my mentor, Duane Doty, who has over two decades of experience leading trips on Lake Taneycomo.
I operate a sturdy 20-foot G3 Gator Tough center console boat and primarily run solo tours. However, for larger groups, I collaborate with other trusted local guides to ensure everyone has a fantastic experience. My goal as a guide is to offer a fun, relaxing, and engaging experience—helping you escape the everyday hustle while enjoying the peaceful surroundings and outstanding fishing that Lake Taneycomo offers.
Beyond just providing a memorable trip, I aim to equip you with valuable skills and knowledge about fish behavior and the best techniques for different fishing conditions. When I’m not out on the water, you’ll likely find me indulging in my other longtime hobby—bowling—or spending quality time with my family, who always come first.

You can cancel your booking up to 7 days before your trip without any charges and get a credit issued to your account. If you cancel less than 7 days prior, your deposit will be retained by the guide. Cancellations made on the day of the trip or if you fail to show up will result in the full trip amount being charged to your payment method.

You’ll fish from a 20-foot utility boat that’s easy to maneuver through the calm lake and nearby river areas. The boat comes fully equipped with rods, reels, tackle, and bait, so all you need to bring is your enthusiasm. Refreshing bottled water is also provided to keep you comfortable throughout the outing.
This experience is great for families, welcoming children aged 5 and up. If you’re bringing kids under 14, please check beforehand about life jackets to ensure everyone’s safety and enjoyment.
