About Your Guide

A Message from Jay: Fishing has been a part of my life since I can remember, growing up alongside Lake Fork. It’s more than just a hobby—it’s my passion. I’m blessed to be husband to my wonderful wife Lindsey and father to our adorable daughter, with a baby boy expected this January. I dedicate myself to staying on top of the best fishing spots. Even when I’m not booked for a trip, you’ll find me on the water exploring new areas and chasing after the largest bass. My favorite spots consistently yield impressive catches. Lake Fork is truly a dream destination and a bucket-list spot for anglers everywhere, often ranked as the top bass fishing lake. I’d be thrilled to guide you on your next fishing adventure. Let’s hit the water and reel in some giants! Thank you and blessings to you all.

In addition to Lake Fork, Jay has extensive experience fishing O.H. Ivie Lake, applying his dedication and proven strategies to help clients land bass there as well. Schedule a trip today and discover why these Texas lakes are famous for incredible fishing experiences! Jay is also flexible with pick-up locations to suit your convenience.

We had an unforgettable day fishing with Jay at Lake Fork! He’s intimately familiar with the lake, expertly guiding us to key points, drop-offs, and structural areas where trophy bass gather. Jay kept us on target all day long, making the experience feel like fishing alongside a longtime friend. Can’t wait to book another trip! – Jonathan, Captain Experiences

Reflecting on my trip, I realize I might have had a better experience had we chosen Lake Fork. It was clear the guide was more knowledgeable about Lake Fork, familiar with specific hotspots and effective baits. Picking a guide with this level of insight is crucial, and I should have done more research before booking.

Jay responds: Fishing can be tough some days, and we missed several catches. I took you to an offshore flat that showed promise, but it seemed you didn’t fully commit to exploring the area—you barely left your seat and only dropped the Texas rig brush hog a few times straight down, covering limited water. I pride myself on knowing Lake Fork, as well as other lakes, inside and out, spending countless days fishing them solo. It felt like you weren’t giving it your all since your casts were mostly within 20 feet of the boat despite multiple bites. I’m sorry you felt disappointed.

To Mike: We're sorry your trip didn’t meet your expectations and would appreciate discussing how we can make it right. Jay is knowledgeable and well-equipped, and I hope you’ll consider fishing with him again. Thank you for giving him a chance; it would be an honor to welcome you back.

Captain Jay quickly put us on bass, and we caught many fish during our outing. I’m definitely booking another trip with him.

Regarding a less positive review: I regret to hear about your experience. You mentioned Jay fished the left side of the boat despite being advised to fish the right side to avoid snags, resulting in several lost hooks. Communication is key, and it’s important to follow the guidance provided to get the best results. We take your feedback seriously and want to understand more so we can improve. Please reach out to us. We hope to have the opportunity to get you back on the water soon!
