About Your Guide

We focus on providing family-friendly fishing charters suitable for everyone, from beginners to seasoned anglers. Our goal is to ensure you enjoy a safe, exciting, and successful fishing adventure. With over two decades of experience exploring the waters of Galveston Bay and the island’s beachfront, we are here to help organize your complete Galveston fishing getaway. Our commitment is to deliver one of the finest fishing charter experiences in Galveston.

Before my daughter’s wedding, I took the boys on a brief outing with Captain Blake. We had an incredible time and even caught some sheephead. The boat was top-notch, and Blake was a fantastic captain—highly recommend him!

Our morning fishing trip with captainexperiences.com in Galveston was truly enjoyable. Captain Brenden greeted us with enthusiasm and was ready to go as soon as we boarded. It was clear he genuinely cared about making our experience memorable, always going the extra mile to meet our needs. We especially loved the celebratory high-fives every time we landed a redfish, drum, or shark. The boat was well-kept, and the sunrise views were simply stunning. Captain Brenden’s friendly interactions with other captains helped us get to the best fishing spots. We also appreciated his effort in filleting and packaging our catch after we returned to the dock. Overall, a fun-filled day—we’d gladly join another trip with him!

We had an amazing time! Both captains were fantastic and incredibly supportive throughout our trip.

Unfortunately, a large storm was approaching Galveston on our charter day. We met with the guide who acknowledged the weather wouldn’t allow for a full day of fishing and advised us we could switch to a half-day trip. Even then, the time was cut short. I was promised a refund for the partial charter but never received it. Though we caught some fish, it wasn’t the shark fishing trip we paid for—mostly a few trout. While this may be common, it felt disappointing, especially after traveling 900 miles. We relied on their assurance about adjusting the trip but it didn’t pan out. Definitely not our dream fishing experience, as we could have caught similar fish much closer to home.

Captain Donnie was outstanding! He guided us excellently, especially as beginners. A solid 10 out of 10—can’t wait to book again.

Our outing was wonderful! Despite being new to fishing, we surpassed all expectations by catching plenty of fish. Captain Blake was patient, encouraging, and a pleasure to spend the day with.

What a fantastic trip! Zach and his team truly knew what they were doing. They helped us hook several species of tasty fish, making it an unforgettable experience.

Jeff was phenomenal! Both he and Devin were very supportive, especially with my son. I highly recommend them to newcomers and anyone seeking a fun day on the water. Looking forward to our next trip!

One of the best fishing adventures we’ve had. Captain Zack has an excellent knowledge of where to find fish, and Amanda was great as well.

Amazing captain—perfect for beginners. He patiently explained each step and kept things relaxed with enjoyable conversation. We’ll definitely be booking with him again.

I was initially unsure about heading to the shallows for sharks and redfish, but it turned out perfectly because we got to witness Jennifer and Regie battling a big blacktip shark. A win-win for everyone!

When booking a fishing charter, you’re essentially paying for two things: the vessel, fuel, and equipment, plus the captain’s expertise and time. On our trip, the captain was friendly but seemed to lack in-depth knowledge of Galveston’s fishing patterns and tidal influences. The crew also appeared inexperienced in bait rigging techniques for different conditions.

Hi Jeremy, we’re sorry your experience didn’t meet expectations. Your original plan was a 20-30 mile offshore kingfish trip, but due to weather, we had to switch last minute to a jetty trip, which we confirmed with you. The crew did their best given the circumstances to still get you on fish. We’ve contacted you privately about a partial refund and would love to reschedule your initial trip when conditions improve.

We had an awesome outing with Jeff at the jetties. It was the kids’ first time, and they absolutely loved it. We returned with some great fish and unforgettable memories. We’re definitely going back soon!

Great trip, lots of fun. The guide was excellent, and we’ll do it again.

Had a fantastic time and would book another trip without hesitation!

This deep-sea adventure takes you 20-30 miles offshore to target some of the ocean’s most formidable game fish — the mighty Kingfish. Expect plenty of trolling as you search for grass lines and flocks of birds feeding on bait balls, quickly racing to place your baits right in the heart of the action. Once you've reached your Kingfish limit, you can spend the remainder of the trip trolling for vibrant mahi mahi and keeping an eye out for ling (cobia). Each trip includes fuel, bait, and tackle, and as always, all caught fish are expertly cleaned and packaged for you to take home.
