Captain Brad grew up in Massachusetts and after completing his studies at Princeton University, he relocated to the Florida Keys in 1979 to follow his passion for fishing. For several years, he captained sportfishing vessels owned by corporations, which were available for charters throughout the Caribbean fishing scene. His fishing calendar included winters in the Florida Keys, springs around Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, summers in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, and he also spent five autumn seasons fishing off Venezuela. His extensive experience makes him intimately familiar with the Caribbean waters.
In 2002, Captain Brad took the leap to start his own business and commissioned the renowned Key West boat builder Claude Torres to craft a 43-foot charter boat, which was based in Key West. Nearly two decades later, he continues providing daily fishing charters from Key West while also exploring more exotic destinations for fishing adventures. His 43-foot vessel is widely regarded as one of the finest-designed fishing boats in Key West.
Now celebrating his 38th year as a charter captain, Brad’s fishing journey has taken him from Nova Scotia down to South America, and even as far afield as Australia. Despite a vast array of travels and fishing experiences, the Florida Keys remain his cherished home port.

You can cancel without any charges if you do so at least 7 days prior to your scheduled trip, and the amount will be refunded to your account as credit. If you cancel within a week of the trip, your deposit will be retained by the guide. For cancellations on the day of the trip or if you fail to show up, the full trip cost will be billed to your card.

Your adventure takes place aboard Captain Brad’s 43-foot sportfisher, featuring a spacious fishing cockpit, an operational Tuna Tower, and an extra-large live well for your catch. While light tackle fishing is the primary focus, Captain Brad is happy to accommodate various techniques including live bait slow trolling, reef and wreck fishing, dead bait trolling, kite fishing, and blue water fly fishing.
All fishing gear will be provided, including Penn, Shimano, and Daiwa rods, reels, tackle, and lures. Live bait, beverages, fly fishing equipment, and fish cleaning/filleting services are also included at no extra charge. A skilled first mate will be available throughout the trip to assist you. Be sure to bring a hat, sunscreen, and some snacks or food for the day.
