About Your Guide

Captain Matt has been passionate about fishing since he was a child. Fishing is his greatest pride, and he along with his team are dedicated to getting you on the catch of the day. His 26-foot Twin Vee boat ensures a safe, comfortable, and efficient ride to and from the fishing spots. For shallower, calmer waters, Matt’s inshore skiff is the perfect vessel. Fishing is truly a way of life for Matt and his crew.

First Mate Walker brings years of experience fishing in South Carolina. With a particular expertise in live bait fishing, he is deeply enthusiastic about the sport. As a college student with a lifelong connection to the sea, he is very familiar with the ocean environment.

First Mate Noah has fished across the country, especially skilled in bottom fishing and Northeast coast techniques. He applies his extensive knowledge to South Carolina waters, confidently helping guests bring in fish.

Guests have consistently praised their time with Captain Matt. They highlight his deep understanding of local waters, friendly and approachable manner, and the comfort of his boat. Many have enjoyed successful trips filled with impressive catches, often leaving feeling pleasantly exhausted from reeling in so many fish. Several visitors have also appreciated Matt’s flexibility with scheduling, especially during offseason months when conditions can be challenging.

The Twin Vee’s cat hull offers a smooth, fast ride, equipped thoughtfully with a trolling motor and restroom facilities, making the experience convenient and enjoyable. Captain Matt works hard to ensure everyone has a great trip, from novices eager to learn to seasoned anglers, sharing tips and techniques throughout.

Clients have also remarked on the opportunity to explore parts of South Carolina’s waterways not easily accessible otherwise. When weather interferes with plans, Matt readily reschedules to ensure the best possible outing. On the water, he adapts his strategies to match weather and conditions, helping guests catch plenty of fish. Many groups have gone home to enjoy a fresh-cooked dinner of their own catch, with guidance from Matt on local spots that prepare their fish.

Captain Walker is praised for his patience, knowledge, and willingness to take guests to multiple fishing locations, offering insightful advice along the way. Families and groups consistently report memorable trips, learning new skills and enjoying quality time together.

One father and son duo shared their excitement about an inshore and shark fishing trip, highlighting Captain Walker’s expertise in locating fish and making the day truly fun. Many visitors, some from out of town, plan to return regularly and continue booking their charters with Matt and his crew.

Children and adults alike have a great time on these trips, with Matt’s friendly and knowledgeable approach making every adventure enjoyable. Many look forward to exploring deep sea fishing on future visits, knowing they’re in excellent hands.

Step aboard our cozy boat and enjoy a short 5 to 15-minute ride to prime fishing spots. We typically use live and cut bait, occasionally incorporating artificial bait as well. Since there is no mate on this trip, you have the entire boat to yourself, allowing you to move around freely!

Our dock is conveniently located in the heart of the harbor, so as you depart the marina, you'll be greeted by stunning views of the USS Yorktown and the Ravenel Bridge. If you have a specific fish species in mind, just let us know. We'll advise you on whether it’s a good time to pursue that catch based on the season.

What sets this trip apart is the combination of our boat's size and advanced safety features, including sonar and radar. If the weather worsens or waves pick up, you can rest assured you’ll remain safe, even with low visibility.
