Captain Stan is also flexible with your preferred starting location to suit your plans. Our day on Lake O.H. Ivie, booked through Captain Experiences, was fantastic thanks to our guide Stan. Despite the fish being somewhat elusive that day, Stan put forth tremendous effort to locate active spots, keeping us moving around the lake to maximize our chances. His dedication and upbeat spirit made the experience enjoyable for both my son and me, no matter the number of fish caught. It's obvious Stan knows these waters inside and out and genuinely prioritizes his guests' enjoyment. We definitely plan to fish with him again.
You can cancel without any fees if you do so at least 14 days prior to your scheduled trip, and the amount will be credited back to your account. If you cancel within 14 days of the trip, your deposit will be retained by the guide. Cancellations made on the day of the trip or failure to show up will result in a charge for the full trip amount on your card.
Rod reels and tackle will be supplied; however, we encourage you to bring your own gear if you have it. Additionally, we suggest packing sunglasses, sunscreen, clothing suited for the weather, and any other personal items you may need for the trip.

Your fishing adventure takes place aboard a 2019 21-foot Triton bass boat, equipped with a powerful 250 HP Mercury engine and designed to comfortably accommodate two anglers. This stable and speedy vessel is fitted with GPS and a fish finder, giving you the best chance to locate active fish. Captain Stan supplies top-tier rods, reels, and expertly selected lures tailored to the season, so you can arrive ready to cast and catch.
Targeting Largemouth Bass year-round is the focus, often using light tackle techniques. Depending on seasonal patterns and water conditions, Captain Stan may diversify the methods employed to keep the action alive. Each trip is customized to your skill level and objectives, ensuring a rewarding day on the water.
Everything you need is provided, including rods, reels, tackle, and lures. Just bring a valid Texas fishing license for each participant, along with weather-appropriate attire, polarized sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), snacks, beverages (excluding glass containers and hard liquor), and of course, a camera to capture your memories and a smile to enjoy the adventure.
