Captain Gary holds licenses from both the US Coast Guard and Texas Parks and Wildlife, offering expert guidance on fishing excursions across East and West Matagorda Bays, the Matagorda Surf, Matagorda Jetties, and the Colorado River. Having cast his line since the age of eight, he has accumulated more than twenty years of experience fishing these waters. Since beginning his career as a guide in 2013, he has cherished every moment on the water. Captain Gary customizes each trip to fit the angler’s skill level and interests—just share your preferences! While he is particularly skilled at targeting Redfish, Speckled Trout, and Flounder, he also enjoys pursuing Black Drum and Tripletail. You can cancel without any charges up to 7 days prior to your scheduled trip and the amount will be credited back to your account. If you cancel within 7 days of the trip, your deposit will be retained by the guide. Cancellations made on the day of the trip or failing to show up will result in the full trip cost being charged to your payment method.
Don't forget to bring your hat, sunscreen, and polarized sunglasses. Please note that live bait requires an extra charge. Included are rods, reels, tackle, and artificial lures.

Choose between a 5-hour half-day or an 8-hour full-day fishing adventure, targeting the abundant Gator Trout that thrive in these waters. You might also catch Black Drum, Flounder, Redfish, and Sheepshead during your trip.
Fishing takes place aboard Captain Gary’s 24-foot SVT Tran Cat Center Console, which comfortably fits up to four anglers. Be sure to bring your valid Texas saltwater fishing license, along with food, drinks, sunscreen, a hat, and a cooler to store your catch. Captain Gary supplies all rods, reels, and tackle, and live bait is available for purchase at an additional cost.
