Join Stacks & Stringers for an unforgettable day on the waters of Matagorda, where the fishing opportunities are truly exceptional! Whether you’re with Capt. Jeff or Capt. Morgan, your time spent fishing here is sure to become a cherished memory. While fishing always involves a bit of luck, you’ll find plenty of exciting species to target throughout the year, including Speckled Trout, Redfish, Flounder, Black Drum, Sheepshead, and more. On your adventure, you’ll most likely be using light tackle for the best experience.
Planning to bring the kids along? They’re more than welcome aboard! If you don’t have child-sized life vests, just ask – there are some available on the boat. Feel free to bring along some snacks to keep everyone energized throughout the day. Your vessel for the outing is a 25-foot JH Outlaw Center Console that comfortably accommodates up to five passengers and is fully equipped with everything you need, including rods, reels, and tackle. Live bait can be purchased for an additional fee.
Make sure everyone in your group obtains a local fishing license prior to boarding; you can usually find this information easily online or directly from your captain. Certain species might be protected or require special permits, so it’s important to be informed before you head out. Don’t forget to come prepared with sunscreen (non-aerosol), a hat, and sunglasses to protect yourself from the sun. While water, soft drinks, and Gatorade are provided, feel free to bring your preferred refreshments. Alcohol in moderation is permitted aboard, but hard liquor and glass bottles are not allowed.
Sometimes the fish will slip away, but your day on the water will always be a success with Stacks & Stringers. Your guide can also adjust the starting point of your trip for your convenience.
