During these inshore fishing excursions, you'll have the opportunity to reel in a variety of local species, including red drum, black drum, trout, sheepshead, and several types of sharks.
Captain Dustin suggests bringing essentials such as a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, snacks, and drinks. He will supply a cooler stocked with ice and water, along with all necessary fishing equipment and licenses.
The boat is well-equipped with advanced features like GPS, sonar, a stereo system with Bluetooth, two active live wells, a trolling motor, a stake-out anchor system, and a Yamaha 150 HP engine. It also includes a Simrad GPS featuring side scan, down scan, and CHIRP technology.
Timing your trip according to the tides can greatly improve your fishing success. Aim to fish a few hours before a tide change: in spring, near low tide changes works best, while in summer and fall, a few hours before high tide typically offers the best bites. During the hotter months of July and August, early morning or late afternoon trips are ideal to avoid the heat.
It’s also wise to select days with frequently shifting weather conditions for optimal fishing. Booking your trip on the final day of your visit may not always be ideal.
