You can cancel your booking without any charges up to 60 days prior to your scheduled trip and get a credit added to your account. If you cancel less than 60 days before the trip, the deposit paid will be non-refundable and given to the guide. Cancelling on the day of the trip or not showing up will result in the full trip amount being charged to your payment method.
Please come prepared with rain gear, layered clothing, gloves, hats, and sunglasses. Feel free to bring your own fly fishing equipment if you prefer. Waders and boots are essential. We provide an ice box, rods, reels, flies, and tippet for you. Lunch will also be provided.
Kurt offers expert guided fly fishing trips on some of the most prolific waters in the Lower 48 states. During the fall and winter, the abundance of fish makes these excursions less about the catch and more about enjoying quality time on the water with good company—rest assured, the fish will naturally follow!
The fishing location will vary based on water conditions and the season. Kurt and his team strive to tailor each trip to your preferences and specific requirements. Because water levels and rainfall greatly influence fish behavior and which tributaries are most productive, they continuously monitor these factors. Kurt and his guides fish these waters daily, keeping a close eye on fish movements and water status to guarantee you'll be fishing the best spots available.
Additionally, Kurt has access to several private water sections, which are available at an extra cost when conditions are ideal. These private leases provide exclusive access to less-pressured waters, meaning fewer anglers and more aggressive fish. Such options will be discussed in the days leading up to your trip, and although there may be a nominal additional fee, the benefits make it well worthwhile.
Steelhead trips are limited to one or two anglers per guide, ensuring personalized attention. Kurt and his team also cater to larger groups, including fly fishing clubs and corporate outings.
Guests should bring their own waders, and Kurt strongly advises checking them for any cracks or holes prior to the trip. Be sure to pack rain gear, multiple clothing layers (including gloves and winter hats if weather conditions warrant), sunglasses, and your own fly fishing equipment if desired. While Kurt will provide rods that are fully rigged and supply all necessary flies, he welcomes clients who like to bring their personal gear as well.
