I have been operating fishing charters since 1996, covering both inshore and offshore trips. Over the last few years, I have focused exclusively on fishing in bays, near jetties, and along the beachfront. Being a lifelong resident of Galveston County, I enjoy introducing visitors to the beautiful sights of Galveston Bay while catching some fish along the way. Children are always welcome and add to the fun atmosphere on board. I hope you consider choosing my charter for your next adventure on the bay. When you book with me, the owner, you can be confident that I will personally guide your trip and strive to make it an unforgettable experience. I’m also happy to accommodate flexible starting points for your convenience.
One guest mentioned that while Darryl was knowledgeable, he could have provided a clearer safety briefing. They were unaware of where the life vests were stored, which was important since there was an elderly passenger on board. However, Darryl was attentive to the older guest and made sure he was well cared for. It was overall a pleasant day on the water.
We appreciate this feedback and will share it with Captain Darryl. Safety remains our top priority, and we apologize if that was not fully apparent during your trip. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed your day and look forward to assisting you with future bookings.
Another review highlighted that Darryl was warm, patient, and very knowledgeable about Galveston’s waters. This was the first saltwater fishing experience for an 11-year-old, and Darryl did a fantastic job making both the child and parent feel comfortable and welcome throughout the trip.
You can cancel at no cost up to 7 days prior to your trip and the amount will be credited back to your account. If you cancel within 7 days of the trip, your deposit will be retained by the guide. Cancellations on the day of the trip or failing to show up will result in the full trip fee being charged to your card.
Remember to pack sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses. Also, bring Dramamine and rain gear if necessary.
We will meet at a convenient location that works best for you and offers quick access to prime fishing spots. I supply all the rods, reels, tackle, and bait you'll need throughout the day. You just need to bring your drinks and snacks in a small cooler, and ensure everyone has a valid fishing license.
Our fishing trip will take place aboard my 24’ Sea Pro, powered by a Suzuki 200 hp engine, allowing us to reach the fishing spots swiftly. We typically use live bait and will fish around reefs, jetties, or other structures in Galveston Bay.
After we finish fishing, we'll head back to the dock where I will clean, fillet, and package your catch in gallon-sized ziplock bags for you to take home.
Regarding weather conditions: your safety is my top priority. If severe storms or strong winds are present, I will recommend postponing or rescheduling the trip to avoid discomfort or danger. However, if it's just light rain, we’ll proceed as planned — after all, the fish don’t mind a little wet weather!
