Born and raised in Texas, Captain Mick has an extensive fishing background that spans multiple states and countries, including Colorado, New Mexico, New York, St. Martin, Costa Rica, Belize, Mexico, and various spots along the Texas coastline, as well as numerous inland lakes and rivers. He has a deep passion for fishing and takes great joy in sharing his knowledge with others. One of his favorite places to fish is the beautiful Laguna Madre. As he puts it, “Being out on the water allows me to escape the daily pressures of life. It’s a chance to pause, gain clarity, and find a perspective that often gets lost amid everyday challenges. For me, fishing is a form of therapy—it’s essential for my mental well-being. When I’m fishing, I feel completely free!”
