I’m a third-generation native of Indian Rocks Beach, Florida, with a lifelong passion for fishing. Growing up, I was deeply involved in commercial and charter fishing and have won multiple tournaments. Spending extensive time on the water every day has given me an edge in understanding fishing patterns, and I continue to dedicate myself to this pursuit whether I’m working or not.
One of the most prized catches in Tampa Bay is the Tarpon, and it’s definitely my top choice during the summer months. As a child, I learned the ropes from my father, who was heavily involved in tournaments and spear fishing. His guidance has been a cornerstone of my fishing achievements.

With his own bait in hand, he quickly located fish, and we caught a wide variety—six different species—including Spanish mackerel, catfish, and blacktip sharks, all on light tackle. It was already an incredible outing.
Later, switching to heavy tackle, we hooked into a hammerhead shark, more blacktip sharks, and the highlight—a massive 150-pound Tarpon. This catch was a dream come true, made possible by Jake’s expertise. I can’t recommend him enough; he’s knowledgeable, professional, and personable. You can cancel without any charges if you do so at least 7 days prior to your trip, and your account will be credited accordingly. If you cancel within a week of the trip, your deposit will be retained by the guide. Cancellations on the day of the trip or failure to show up will result in the full trip cost being charged to your card.
All necessary gear will be provided. However, we suggest you bring sunglasses, sunscreen, clothing suitable for the weather, and any personal gear you prefer to use during the trip.

Depending on conditions that day, you may use either light or heavy tackle to maximize your chances.
Capt. Jacob operates a 24-foot Ranger bay boat that accommodates up to 4 passengers comfortably. The boat comes fully equipped with rods, reels, and all the necessary tackle, so you just need to show up ready to fish.
Your fishing license for the day is included in the charter, ensuring a hassle-free outing. Please note that certain fish species are subject to specific regulations, including size and season restrictions. To enhance your trip, a cooler with ice is provided, and you’re welcome to bring any food or drinks you prefer.
