Captain Matthew is dedicated to ensuring your day is filled with fun and exciting fishing opportunities. We mainly offer 4-hour excursions targeting species such as Redfish, Snapper, Grouper, and Cobia, depending on the season and weather conditions.
During your outing, you might try a variety of fishing methods, including light and heavy tackle fishing, bottom fishing, trolling, drift fishing, jigging, and spinning. Your adventure begins aboard a fully outfitted 29-foot Pro Kat center console, comfortably accommodating up to four anglers. The boat is equipped with an ice box, Garmin fish finder, radar, an enclosed restroom, and a wireless trolling motor for your convenience.
Safety is a top priority, and Captain Matt ensures that all important safety equipment is on board. This includes VHF radios, an EPIRB, a 4-person life raft, and a 48-mile radar system enhanced with XM satellite weather updates to keep you informed of any changing conditions while out at sea.
All fishing gear, including rods, reels, and terminal tackle, is provided as part of the package so you can concentrate solely on your fishing experience. Your trip also covers all required fishing licenses for the day. The boat is stocked with refreshing beverages, but feel free to ask the captain if you want to bring your own or have any special requests. We’re also happy to be flexible with your preferred departure point.
We want to thank Captain Matt for an incredible time. He quickly had us hooked up and kept the action going throughout the day. Enjoying a meal of freshly filleted fish right from our catch was a highlight — nothing beats the freshness of a meal like that. The surprise catch of the day was a Cobia, which made the trip even more memorable. It was a special moment for the captain’s son, who landed the biggest fish he’s ever caught. We’re already looking forward to our next fishing adventure!
You can cancel your booking free of charge if you do so at least three days prior to your scheduled trip, and the amount will be credited back to your account. If you cancel within three days of your trip, your deposit will be retained by the guide. Any cancellations made on the day of the trip or failure to show up will result in a full charge applied to your card.
We will supply bottled water during your trip for your convenience. If you have a preferred beverage, feel free to bring it along. Onboard, we offer a limited amount of sunscreen for those who may forget their own. A cooler filled with ice is available on the boat, so there's no need to bring one yourself. For the cooler months, we recommend bringing a light jacket, as temperatures can drop significantly once you’re out on the water. Most importantly, remember to take dramamine (the less drowsy formula) the day before and on the day of your trip. And if you happen to forget it, don’t worry—fish usually don’t mind whatever you had for breakfast!
