If you want to truly immerse yourself in the beauty of Florida’s Nature Coast, Captain Bradley’s fishing trips departing from Yankeetown and Crystal River are an unbeatable choice. With extensive experience navigating these waters, Captain Bradley expertly knows the prime locations, tidal movements, and fishing techniques needed to maximize your catch—whether you’re fishing grass flats, spoil islands, or rocky bottoms. His well-equipped 27’ Sailfish center console offers an enjoyable experience for everyone, from novices to experienced anglers.
The 4-hour excursions, available both in the morning and afternoon, begin with a leisurely cruise down the Withlacoochee River. Keep an eye out for wildlife such as manatees, alligators, bald eagles, and osprey on the way to the Gulf. Once offshore, you’ll fish the grass flats targeting Speckled Trout, Spanish Mackerel, and Flounder. Then the trip progresses to spoil islands and rocky structures aiming for Black Drum, Redfish, and Snook. Depending on conditions, you might even have the chance to hook Tarpon. This trip length balances plenty of fishing action with beautiful scenery.
For those desiring more time and species variety, the 6-hour trip is ideal, also offered in morning and afternoon sessions. With additional time, Captain Bradley can reach more productive areas spanning Yankeetown, Crystal River, and Cedar Key. Your targets can include Grouper, Cobia, King Mackerel, Mangrove Snapper, Sheepshead, and Pompano. This trip features a dynamic, run-and-gun style using a range of techniques like light tackle, trolling, bottom fishing, jigging, and popping to adapt to the conditions and fish behavior, increasing your chances for memorable catches.
The full-day, 8-hour adventure is designed for anglers ready for a comprehensive experience. With the ability to venture over 30 miles offshore, this trip combines inshore and offshore opportunities. You might drift over wrecks for Snapper, jig for Grouper, or sight-cast to schools of Redfish or Tarpon. Equipped with a full range of gear and tactics, the extended time allows you to pursue the bite wherever it’s happening, giving you the best odds for multiple species and trophy fish.
All trips include premium fishing equipment, rods, reels, tackle, live bait tailored to your target species (shrimp, pinfish, minnows), and necessary fishing licenses. For larger groups or longer trips, a first mate assists to ensure everything runs smoothly. Fish cleaning is provided at no additional cost. The boat is stocked with ice, bottled water, and sodas to keep you refreshed. Just bring a hat, sunglasses, non-spray sunscreen, snacks or lunch, and your preferred beverages—please note no glass containers or hard liquor.
With a well-outfitted boat, an experienced guide, and access to one of Florida’s most productive fisheries, all you need to do is jump aboard and enjoy an unforgettable day on the water.
