You can cancel without any charge up to 14 days prior to your trip and the amount will be credited back to your account. If you cancel within 14 days before the trip, your deposit will be retained by the guide. Canceling on the day of the trip or failing to show up will result in the full trip cost being billed to your card.
Please bring sunglasses, dress in layers, and carry a rain jacket. Lunch is not included on Half Day Trips, so be sure to bring your own snacks if you want to eat.

Renowned worldwide as a premier trout stream, the White River is a cherished gem for locals like Dan, who value having such an exceptional fishery right in their backyard. Anglers from all over visit to experience the thrill of landing impressive trout. While fishing from johnboats with spinning rods remains a classic method, fly fishing is rapidly gaining popularity, and Dan is at the forefront of this growing movement.
Dan primarily focuses on the tailwaters below Bull Shoals Dam, a 30-40 mile stretch famous for producing large rainbow trout and, even more notably, massive brown trout. Since trout season on this stretch never closes, Dan’s guiding services continue year-round without pause.
On the day of your outing, you will meet Dan either at a nearby fly shop or at one of the many boat ramps along the river below Bull Shoals. You'll then load your gear into Dan’s johnboat, which is fully equipped with everything needed for your day on the water. Dan prefers drifting through this tailwater section but also utilizes a Mercury outboard motor attached to the boat, allowing easy access to prime fishing spots both upstream and downstream.
For full-day trips, Dan provides everything from rods, reels, tackle, and flies, to expert guidance, along with lunch and beverages. Half-day trips include all these amenities except lunch, typically wrapping up by noon. Feel free to bring snacks if you want to nibble between casts during your half-day experience!
