Growing up fishing in the waters around Rhode Island, I’ve spent 35 years commercial fishing in the area. For more than two decades, I have operated charter fishing trips. The ocean has always been a deep passion of mine. In my younger days, I competed as a freediver and spearfisherman, earning the title of US national spearfishing champion. I’m proud to hold two world records: one for the world record speared Striped Bass and another for the pole-speared Striped Bass. Additionally, my boat holds the Rhode Island state record for the largest Albacore tuna caught using rod and reel. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or new to fishing, we’re happy to guide you and help you develop your skills. The entire experience went splendidly, with perfect weather conditions. You can cancel without any charge up to 7 days prior to your scheduled trip and get a credit applied to your account. If you cancel within 7 days of the trip, your deposit will be non-refundable and retained by the guide. Cancellations made on the day of the trip or if you fail to show up will result in a full charge to your card for the entire trip cost.
All necessary gear will be provided. However, we suggest bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, clothing suited for the weather, and any personal equipment you'd like to use during the trip.

Your vessel for the day is a 38-foot Libby, designed specifically for offshore expeditions. Equipped with state-of-the-art CHIRP sonar, radar, GPS, outriggers, and a live bait well, it provides the perfect platform for serious tuna fishing. Comfort extras include a marine toilet, an ice box to keep your drinks and catch fresh, and ample space to maneuver during the action.
Upon returning to port, your catch will be expertly processed dockside, allowing you to take home premium fresh fillets—so be sure to bring an extra cooler to store your bounty. All essential equipment, including rods, reels, tackle, lures, and fishing licenses, are provided by Captain David’s experienced crew, who will support you throughout the trip to ensure a successful outing.
