Captain Drew, based in Chatham, Massachusetts, offers a friendly, expert, and relaxed approach to exploring the incredible fishing opportunities available in Cape Cod. This region is home to some of the best fishing spots, featuring species like the renowned Bluefin Tuna, saltwater Striped Bass (commonly known as "Stripers"), Rockfish, Fluke, and Bluefish. Beyond fishing, the area also boasts sightings of majestic marine wildlife such as Humpback, Baleen, Finback, Minke, and Right Whales, Great White Sharks, Seals, Osprey, and many other sea creatures that Captain Drew will gladly highlight during your journey.
Having spent every summer of his youth on Cape Cod, Captain Drew developed a deep love for boating and fishing early on. Whether it's fishing, surfing, clamming, or simply cruising the waters, he is always out on the ocean. His enthusiasm for sharing knowledge about the local waters is evident regardless of the angler’s skill level. As he puts it, "Every time you leave the harbor, there’s a new adventure to experience and enjoy, and it’s all about having a great time!"
Captain Drew’s fishing experience extends far beyond Cape Cod, with time spent fishing in diverse locations such as Vermont, Florida, Wyoming, New Zealand, and Hawaii. This wide-ranging expertise allows him to offer a variety of fishing experiences on his Cape Cod charters—from offshore Bluefin Tuna expeditions, to nearshore trips targeting Stripers, and inshore drifting and wading for hungry Stripers to finish off the day.
He divides his time between Chatham and northern Vermont, where he lives with his wife Erika, their daughter Isla, sons Zane and Reid, and their two affectionate dogs, Bodie and Riggs. Here’s what some of his satisfied clients have shared:
"Captain Drew took my father, uncle, cousin, and me on a four-hour trip, and I was thoroughly impressed by his expertise, professionalism, and enthusiasm. He knew exactly how to get us going, and within minutes, we landed our first catch. Over the course of the trip, we caught more than 15 fish and brought some home for dinner! I’m already looking forward to booking another trip next year."
"We had an amazing experience with Drew and Dawson! We targeted bluefin tuna using artificial lures and worked hard off the Cape. The tuna were frenzied under the birds, and although we hooked up a few times, the fish slipped away. Sometimes the Bluefin win, but we’re excited to get back out there with these knowledgeable guides. They had the perfect tackle, and their familiarity with the area is second to none!"
