I have been fishing on Lake Murray since 1993 and truly love spending time on the water. My passion lies in helping families, friends, and especially kids create unforgettable memories while fishing. There's nothing quite like the thrill of chasing stripers and seeing your rod bend with a big catch. During our trips, clients will get hands-on experience learning which baits we use, how to hook them properly, netting their own fish, and gaining insight into the unique fishery of Lake Murray.
Additionally, I teach clients about the advanced electronics I use to locate and catch stripers, including the Garmin DownScan, LiveScope, Thumper, and Splasher, explaining the purpose of each tool and how they help improve our success on the water. When I’m not guiding trips, I enjoy quality time with my family and friends, attending sporting events, and relaxing.
As your guide, I offer flexible starting locations to accommodate your needs. One of my recent clients, Captain Chris, was excellent to fish with. Communication was outstanding, and when we discovered the scheduled landing was temporarily closed, he promptly informed us that our wait would only be about five minutes. Although the bite was a bit slow that day, his patience paid off and all four of us managed to catch some fish. We are definitely planning to book another trip with Captain Chris. You can cancel your reservation free of charge if done at least 5 days prior to your trip, and the amount will be refunded as a credit to your account. If you cancel within 5 days of the trip, your deposit will be retained by the guide. Cancelling on the day of the trip or failing to show up will result in the full trip cost being charged to your payment method.
We provide all rods, reels, and tackle for the trip. However, we suggest that you also bring sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and any personal gear you may wish to use during the outing.

You’ll fish from a 22-foot Sea Pro center console boat, powered by a dependable 200 HP Yamaha engine—an ideal craft for maneuvering the lake comfortably throughout your trip. The boat comes fully stocked with a live well to keep your bait fresh, a cooler for storing your catch, plus all necessary rods, reels, and tackle. For a small additional cost, Captain William also offers fish cleaning services, so you can conveniently take home fillets ready to cook after a successful day on the water.
