Tyler finds balance and inspiration when immersed in nature's wild spaces. Raised just north of Fort Collins, Colorado, in a family passionate about outdoor activities, he spent his youth exploring the pristine waters of the Laramie Plains lakes, North Park, the Yampa River, and iconic spots like The Reef and Mile on Wyoming’s North Platte River. His autumns were often dedicated to horseback adventures deep into wilderness areas pursuing elk, followed by deer hunting seasons in Nebraska and occasionally Wyoming. Winters brought skiing along the Front Range and waterfowl hunting from a camouflaged pit near Fort Collins.
Following his partner, Sierra, to Idaho, who encouraged his dream to open a fly shop and guiding service, Tyler smoothly transitioned from managing horses to overseeing boats for whitewater and fishing expeditions. This shift meant no more daily chores for livestock and instead, more time spent fishing and trekking with guests and friends. Tyler looks forward to sharing these remarkable outdoor experiences with great people and unforgettable memories.
