Captain Kyle, a native of Eastern North Carolina, was raised on his family's farm in the countryside, where he spent much of his time fishing and hunting. He has a particular passion for sight fishing redfish using a flyrod. The Pamlico Sound is renowned for offering some of the finest fishing experiences along the US East Coast, yet it remains a hidden gem with fewer crowds. During the summer months, the sound becomes a prime destination as some of the largest red drum in the nation migrate through the area.
Your guide is accommodating and can easily adjust the starting point of your trip to suit your needs. Despite less-than-perfect weather conditions, we thoroughly enjoyed our outing. Kyle worked tirelessly to explore every opportunity to locate fish, resulting in the catch of some impressive trout. Overall, we gained a wealth of knowledge, appreciated Kyle's expertise, and valued his company. We are already looking forward to booking another excursion with him.
You can cancel without any fees if you do so at least 14 days prior to your scheduled trip, and the amount will be refunded back to your account. If you cancel within 14 days of the trip, your deposit will be retained by the guide. Cancellations on the day of the trip or failing to show up will result in a charge for the full trip amount to your card.
We provide all rods, reels, and tackle for your convenience. However, we suggest bringing along sunglasses, sunscreen, clothing suitable for the weather, and any personal gear you prefer to use during the trip.
We target the flats in eastern North Carolina, where you’ll find redfish ranging from just under 18" to nearly 50" in size. Experiencing a redfish take your fly or lure is truly one of the most thrilling moments in fishing!
Onboard, I will have a cooler stocked with water bottles for your convenience. Feel free to bring along any snacks or drinks you prefer. It’s also a good idea to bring a jacket in case we encounter a sudden rain shower.
