Having spent my entire life immersed in the great outdoors, I specialize in spin-cast fishing adventures based out of Cody, WY, surrounded by some of the most breathtaking landscapes I've ever encountered. Hunting and fishing have been my lifelong pursuits, starting from the moment I could hold a rifle and fishing rod. Throughout the years, all seasons, and across various places I've lived and traveled, I’ve developed a deep passion for guiding others in sourcing wild game. From the initial harvest to processing and preparing the meat, I take great pleasure in helping people experience the thrill of catching or harvesting their own food—sometimes even more than doing it myself.
My guiding service is entirely land-based, with all fishing spots accessible within a short walk from convenient parking areas. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced angler of any age, I can tailor the experience to suit your needs. I offer fishing trips all year, including ice fishing during the colder months. Teaching is one of my strengths, and I genuinely enjoy sharing knowledge and seeing clients gain these valuable, lifelong skills. Your guide can also be flexible regarding the meeting location to ensure a smooth start.
Clients often share how the experience exceeds their expectations and runs effortlessly. Many have recommended Captain Experiences for a fun, engaging outdoor adventure. Families especially appreciate it—kids and adults alike come away excited and eager to return, with memories that last long after the trip ends.
You can cancel your booking at no cost if done at least 14 days prior to your scheduled trip, and you will get the amount credited to your account. If you cancel less than 14 days before the trip, your deposit will be non-refundable and retained by the guide. Cancellations on the day of the trip or failure to show up will result in the full trip cost being charged to your payment method.
Please check the weather forecast ahead of time and dress accordingly. I suggest bringing gloves, and I will provide hand warmers as a backup. Additionally, hats and sunglasses are advised for your comfort.
Our adventure begins with a meetup in town, from where you will follow me to the fishing spot. Most locations are conveniently located within a 15-minute drive from town. This half-day trip involves at least four hours of fishing. The best time to book the trophy brown trout excursion is from late summer through early winter.
We will be using Spincast gear for all land-based fishing activities. I recommend bringing well-fitting shoes or boots, as the terrain is generally easy but includes some short hills and uneven surfaces. The walking distance during the trip seldom exceeds three-tenths of a mile.
If you choose to keep any fish within the legal limits, I will handle the processing and provide Ziploc bags and ice for storage. Please note that water and snacks are not included, so bringing your own is advised. There is plenty of space to explore, with abundant wildlife to enjoy along the way.
