With over three decades of fishing expertise, Captain Scott relocated from California to Texas in 1976 and has been a seasoned charter guide for more than 20 years. He truly knows the local waters inside and out. Come fish alongside Captain Scott in Port O'Connor, where you can try wade fishing for Redfish, Speckled Trout, and other species, or venture inland to catch giant bass in East Texas’ freshwater lakes.
We went on this trip fully prepared for the cold weather and off-season conditions, yet still managed to reel in a nice haul of large catfish. Captain DJ made the experience fantastic—professional, fun, and even allowed us to stay out longer than planned to try for a few extra catches. Huge thanks to DJ for providing such a memorable outing for my friends and me!
Captain Scott is truly exceptional—from his attentiveness to maintaining a spotless boat, to offering great tips for reeling in Amberjacks, which put up quite the fight. He captured incredible photos and videos and led us to prime spots for mahi mahi and amberjacks. I couldn’t have asked for a better fishing adventure or guide.
If you’re after mahi mahi or want a top-tier fishing trip, I highly recommend booking through Captain Experiences. Their guides are professional, friendly, and quickly got us on the fish. I arranged two boats for a corporate event, and everything went smoothly, just as expected. Truly a first-rate experience all around.

Join Scott for an unforgettable 4-hour fishing adventure on the beautiful Sam Rayburn Reservoir! During this trip, you'll have the chance to catch a variety of freshwater species, including Blue Catfish, Crappie, Largemouth Bass, Striped Bass, and White Bass.
The Largemouth Bass is the most sought-after fish in Sam Rayburn, so you can anticipate hooking one during your outing. The reservoir also boasts strong year-round populations of Crappie and Catfish. While White Bass are less common here, visiting in the spring increases your odds of landing one.
No matter which species you aim for, Scott is an experienced and approachable guide who will help you improve your fishing skills and secure some impressive catches.
You’ll be fishing from Scott’s 25-foot Skeeter center console boat, outfitted with essential gear such as GPS, fishfinder, and a live bait well. The boat comfortably fits up to six anglers. Be sure to bring a valid Texas fishing license, your preferred food and beverages (no glass containers), sunscreen, a hat, and good company. Scott will take care of the rest, including cleaning your catch for an additional fee.
