Captain Rudy’s passion for fishing began in childhood when his father took him out on the water. By the age of 16, he owned his very first boat, and since then, he has captained vessels up to 32 feet in length. This charter operation is proudly family-owned, with Captain Rudy’s son, Mike, acting as his first mate. With a lifelong love for fishing, Captain Rudy started this charter to share his enthusiasm and create memorable experiences for others.

You can cancel without any charge if you do so at least 7 days before your scheduled trip, and the amount will be refunded as credit to your account. If you cancel less than 7 days prior to the trip, your deposit will be non-refundable and retained by the guide. Cancellations made on the day of the trip or failure to show up will result in the full trip cost being billed to your card.

Whether you choose a half-day, three-quarter day, or full-day trip, Captain Rudy will escort you several miles off Florida’s East Coast in pursuit of thrilling catches such as Barracuda, Black Grouper, King Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, Sailfish, Wahoo, as well as a variety of Snappers and Sharks. Depending on your preference or target fish, you can fish using light tackle, artificial lures, trolling, or jigging. Just share your preferred method or desired catch with Captain Rudy, and he will set you up for success!
The fishing takes place aboard Captain Rudy’s 28-foot Grady White sportfisher, which accommodates up to four guests. Powered by twin 225 HP Evinrude engines, this boat handles both nearshore and offshore waters with ease. It’s equipped with GPS, Fishfinder, a Live Bait Well, Outriggers, and a Fighting Chair to enhance your fishing experience. Additional amenities include a restroom, bed, kitchen, and refrigerator for your comfort.
Captain Rudy supplies all necessary fishing equipment, including rods, reels, tackle, lures, bait, and fishing licenses, so you only need to bring sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, and any personal food or beverages. For an extra fee, Captain Rudy offers to create either a life-sized mount or a smaller replica of your catch, providing a memorable keepsake from your day on the water. You can also purchase a T-shirt directly from him as a memento.
Note: Trips lasting 6 or 8 hours begin at 8:00 AM, while 4-hour trips can start at either 8:00 AM or 1:00 PM.
The "Papa Bear Too" is a 30-foot Pursuit Down East Cruiser, built in 1995, designed for both comfort and performance. Powered by twin 340 hp Crusader engines, this boat offers a smooth and reliable ride ideal for fishing adventures. Anglers will appreciate the onboard fighting chair and outriggers, enhancing the fishing experience. The boat is equipped with a GPS and fishfinder for easy navigation and locating fish. A spacious live bait well ensures fresh bait availability, while the onboard kitchen and refrigerator add convenience.
