Captain Lance is an experienced mariner who graduated from Hunter College in New York City. He earned his USCG 100 Ton License in 1978 and advanced to obtain his 500 Ton Masters License by 1982. Over the years, Lance has captained vessels along the West Coast of North America and has been based in Kona since 1984. Known for his dedication and strong work ethic, he expertly manages all onboard systems.
Having been involved in the charter fishing industry since the age of 14, Lance’s passion for fishing, the ocean, and ensuring his clients have an unforgettable experience has been a constant driving force. Whether the fishing is easy or challenging, Lance makes it his mission to provide an exceptional day on the water.
He is an accomplished angler with impressive catches to his name, including two massive Blue Marlin weighing 1,058 and 1,075 pounds. Lance has also caught an incredible 57 Mahi Mahi in a single outing and boasts several tournament wins. A highly skilled Ahi (yellowfin tuna) fisherman, he claimed first place in the Maui Jim Tournament Ahi Division for three consecutive years: 2009, 2010, and 2011.

The vessel itself is spacious and comfortable, providing a relaxing environment for your trip. While the day may start slowly at times, it often builds excitement, as evidenced by days with multiple strikes and thrilling encounters, such as bringing two Blue Marlin alongside the boat.

You can cancel at no cost up to three days prior to your trip and have the amount credited back to your account. If you cancel less than three days before your trip, your deposit will be non-refundable and retained by the guide. Cancellations made on the day of the trip or if you fail to show up will incur a charge for the full trip amount on your card.
All essentials are provided; however, we suggest bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, suitable clothing for the weather, and any personal items you may need during the trip.
