About Your Guide

Captain Joey: Introducing Captain Joey, a maritime icon known among his peers as "Old Salt." With decades of experience navigating and fishing across a wide range of waters – from the Carolinas and Florida's sun-kissed coastlines to distant expeditions in the Bahamas and even the South China Sea – Captain Joey has honed his skills to perfection.

Captain Dawson: Meet Captain Dawson, a lifelong Florida native who has been immersed in both commercial and charter fishing since childhood. Boasting over 15 years of hands-on knowledge of Florida’s waters, Captain Dawson has an uncanny ability to know the best spots and times for fishing. His welcoming attitude combined with his expertise guarantees an enjoyable and memorable adventure.

Joey and Linda truly made our family outing special. Taking our family of five (kids aged 11, 9, and 5) out with Captain Joey and mate Alina was a wonderful experience—they were incredibly accommodating throughout the trip. Unlike typical party or charter boats, this was a perfect introduction for our young family. The whole day went smoothly, and we can’t recommend them highly enough!

Had a fantastic day fishing with Joey. From the moment we stopped, the bites were consistent—our first drop saw all four lines hooked! Thanks to Linda, who kept us stocked and ready with bait and tackle, we hardly had time to grab lunch or drinks. These folks know how to run a great fishing trip and we would definitely recommend them for anyone looking for a fun and productive outing.

Joey and Linda made a wonderful team. Although the fish were a bit slow to start, they kept us moving to the right spots until we had enough for a delicious meal. They were patient and considerate, especially since some of us were new to fishing. Captain Joey didn’t hesitate to go the extra 22 miles to find the fish. The first mate, Lee, impressed us with her hard work and even took time to teach my 8-year-old granddaughter how to properly set the hook and handle her catch—it was truly a joy to watch.

We wholeheartedly endorse this dynamic team for anyone seeking a top-notch fishing experience. Their dedication and care made a lasting impression on all of us.

Get ready to head offshore and target some impressive fish with Captain Joey’s 4- to 8-hour trips aboard his 26’ Boston Whaler, designed to deliver nonstop action. Whether you have a half-day to cast your lines or a full day to explore deeper waters and target trophy fish, these excursions focus on bending rods and filling your cooler.

The 26’ Boston Whaler serves as a reliable, swift vessel, powered by twin 250 HP Mercury engines and equipped with GPS, a fish finder, and a trolling motor to zero in on the bite. It comfortably accommodates up to 6 anglers, providing ample space to fish actively and move around when the fishing heats up.

Your fishing range and targets depend on the trip duration you choose. On a 4-hour outing, you’ll travel 9 to 15 miles offshore to bottom fish for Snapper, Grouper, Hogfish, Flounder, Porgy, and various other reef dwellers. A 6-hour trip ventures 15 to 25 miles offshore, blending bottom fishing with trolling for species such as Kingfish, Cobia, and Tuna. For the full 8-hour adventure, you’ll go as far as 45 miles offshore, opening up opportunities to explore deeper reefs and pelagic waters where larger specimens and intense battles await — perfect for the dedicated angler.

All fishing gear, bait, and licenses are included in the trip price. Bottled water is provided onboard, and you’re welcome to bring your own food and beverages (alcohol is allowed in moderation but no glass containers). After booking, let Captain Joey know if you have a specific species in mind so he can prepare accordingly. Fishing targets vary by season, and Joey adjusts the trip based on what’s biting to ensure a productive outing.

Whether targeting bottom species for dinner or chasing a personal record, these offshore trips cater to anglers of all levels, guaranteeing a rewarding experience every time you set sail.
