Nowadays, I’m dedicated to helping anglers land impressive fish across numerous lakes, rivers, creeks, and even local ponds throughout North Texas. I offer guided trips for catfishing and gar fishing, whether you prefer fishing from the shore or out on a boat. In addition, I provide noodling excursions for those seeking a unique experience. If you’re excited about hooking some big catches and making lasting memories, come fish with me! My catfishing adventures run from October through April, gar fishing trips take place from April through October, and noodling trips are available from May to June. It’s truly an unforgettable experience! There’s nothing quite like the thrill of catching a gar for the first time — feeling that powerful fight on your line is unmatched. You can cancel without any charges up to 14 days prior to your scheduled trip and get a credit added to your account. If you cancel within 14 days of the trip, your deposit will be non-refundable and will be given to the guide. Cancellations made on the day of the trip or instances of no-shows will result in the full trip amount being billed to your card.
We provide all rods, reels, and tackle for your convenience. However, we suggest you also bring sunglasses, sunscreen, suitable clothing for the weather, and any personal gear you'd like to use during the trip.

Rich leads noodling excursions across some of North Texas’s prime fishing spots, including Lake Lewisville, Lavon Lake, Grapevine Lake, Lake Ray Hubbard, Lake Tawakoni, Richland Chambers, Ray Roberts, Lake Worth, Eagle Mountain, and the Trinity River. These locations harbor large fish hiding in underwater cavities and structures — and Rich has expert knowledge of all their favorite hangouts.
The best time for noodling is during May and June when the warmer waters drive fish to their nesting sites. During this prime season, you’ll be taken to key spots such as underwater ledges, creek bends, and shoreline structures where you’ll feel the adrenaline rush of reaching into hidden holes and pulling out monsters.
No prior experience? No worries! Rich will guide you through every step, teaching you proper techniques, ensuring your safety, and boosting your confidence to grab hold and hold tight. To join the trip, just bring along a valid Texas freshwater fishing license, ice to keep your catch fresh, a small cooler, sun protection like sunscreen and sunglasses, snacks, and drinks. Dress appropriately for the weather and be ready to get wet and muddy. Moderate alcohol consumption is allowed, but please avoid bringing glass bottles.
