With a lifetime of fishing experience across Central and Eastern North Carolina, I’ve enjoyed both recreational and commercial fishing in freshwater and saltwater environments. I operate out of the Sneads Ferry/Topsail Island region and have been guiding fishing enthusiasts full-time for more than ten years. In my free time, I participate in several Redfish Circuits, competing from North Carolina down to Louisiana. Together with my partner, we’ve built an impressive track record of victories and top placements throughout the years. When you step aboard my boats, rest assured you’re in expert hands — I bring a deep passion and extensive knowledge of fishing. I’m also adaptable with pick-up locations to suit your convenience. Although we didn’t land any fish on one trip, the experience and beautiful setting made it worthwhile.

Join Captain Allen for an exciting adventure in the ever-changing Neuse River estuary, one of North Carolina’s premier inshore fishing destinations. The blend of seasonal shifts and tidal movements creates excellent opportunities to catch a variety of species, including Striped Bass, Flounder, Speckled Trout, Black Drum, and Redfish—ranging from slot-sized to impressive “old drum.”
Throughout the year, you’ll pursue different fish using light tackle and a combination of spoons, soft plastics, and topwater plugs. Captain Allen’s adaptable methods ensure you’re equipped with the ideal lures for the conditions, and he adjusts your launch spot depending on fish activity and weather patterns to maximize your chances of success.

All gear—including rods, reels, and tackle—is provided, with trips designed to suit anglers of all skill levels, from beginners to experienced fishermen. Children are welcome, and start times are flexible, generally kicking off around 6:00 AM to take advantage of prime fishing hours. Just bring your preferred drinks and snacks (please avoid glass containers), dress appropriately for the weather, and prepare for an unforgettable day filled with exciting catches in a hidden gem of the Southeast's fisheries.
